English: The Ford Motor assembly plant in La Boca, Buenos Aires. Opened in 1922, this was the first plant of the U.S. company in Argentina after arriving to the country in 1913.
The production line then moved to Gral. Pacheco in Greater Buenos Aires in 1962, where it still stands (a closer look at the cars shows their radiators are 1924-25 style, with the apron at the bottom of the shell). The facility, located on Wenceslao Villafañe 40, is today property of Víctor Contreras S.A., a tubing and storage tank manufacturer. Español: La planta de ensamblaje de Ford Motor en La Boca, Buenos Aires. Inaugurada en 1922, esta fue la primera planta de la empresa estadounidense en Argentina luego de llegar al país en 1913.
La línea de producción luego se trasladó a Gral. Pacheco en el Gran Buenos Aires en 1962, donde aún se encuentra (una mirada más cercana a los autos muestra que sus radiadores son del estilo 1924-25, con el faldón en la parte inferior de la carrocería). La instalación, ubicada en Wenceslao Villafañe 40, es hoy propiedad de Víctor Contreras S.A., fabricante de tuberías y tanques de almacenamiento. |
